A brand identity including logomark, letterhead, signage and displays developed for local resource centre Ujima Resource House.

Ujima Resource House is an incubation project housed by Project Row Houses—founded by Assata Richards (also founder of Sankofa Research Institute). Ujima Resource House aims to protect the Houston Third Ward community through providing valuable resources to vulnerable residents.

The branding draws inspiration from the authentic, raw, and enticing hand-lettered signages seen on the Emancipation Ave. Used with a simple system, the brand provides a face that is approachable, accessible, and engaging.

This project is in collaboration with Vianey Torres.
